LUXSTER Light App Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 9, 2026

Luxster Co., Limited ("LUXSTER," "we," "us," or "our") provides the LUXSTER Light mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use it to connect to and control compatible LUXSTER automotive LED bulbs.

1. Information the App accesses

Location information

When you refresh local weather, the App sends your device’s latitude and longitude over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a LUXSTER-operated weather proxy hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The proxy rounds the coordinates to approximately two decimal places before requesting weather data from Open-Meteo. These coordinates are used only to provide local weather conditions and adaptive lighting recommendations.

Cloudflare and Open-Meteo may process limited technical information, such as IP addresses, geographic coordinates, request timestamps, and server logs, for service delivery, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Location is used only to provide local weather and adaptive lighting recommendations. The App does not request background location, continuously track your location, use location for advertising, or use location for analytics. You may deny or revoke location permission at any time. Manual lighting controls remain available without location access.

Open-Meteo may retain technical server logs containing IP addresses and geographic coordinates for troubleshooting and abuse prevention. According to Open-Meteo's published privacy terms, individual log files are deleted after 90 days. Learn more at https://open-meteo.com/en/terms.

Bluetooth and nearby-device information

The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy and nearby-device permissions to discover, connect to, identify, group, and control compatible LUXSTER bulbs. During this process, the App may access Bluetooth broadcast names, device identifiers, signal strength, and supported Bluetooth services and characteristics.

Bluetooth and nearby-device information is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to LUXSTER servers.

Settings stored on your device

The App stores your lighting preferences, last-used brightness and color temperature, bulb group names, bulb assignments, and related device identifiers locally on your device. This information supports saved settings and reconnection features. It is not uploaded to LUXSTER servers.

You can remove locally stored bulb setup information through the App's reset controls. Uninstalling the App also removes its locally stored data, subject to your device operating system's backup settings.

Support information

If you choose to open the LUXSTER Support Center and submit a support request, you may provide information such as your name, email address, order or product details, device information, and a description of your issue. Support requests are submitted through the LUXSTER website and are handled under the website privacy policy presented on that site.

2. How we use information

We use information accessed through the App to:

  • discover, connect to, group, and control compatible LUXSTER bulbs;
  • provide local weather conditions and adaptive lighting recommendations;
  • remember user-selected lighting and bulb-group settings on the device;
  • troubleshoot technical issues and respond to support requests;
  • maintain the security and reliability of the App and connected products; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. How information is disclosed

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Location coordinates are transmitted to Open-Meteo solely to return weather information used by the App. Support information is disclosed to service providers only as needed to operate the LUXSTER website, process support requests, maintain security, or comply with law. Service providers are expected to use information only for the services they provide.

4. Data retention

Lighting settings and bulb-group information remain on your device until you reset them or uninstall the App. Weather data is used to provide current App functionality and is not retained by LUXSTER. Open-Meteo's retention of technical logs is governed by its own privacy terms. Support records are retained only as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, maintain business records, protect legal rights, and comply with law.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. Weather requests are transmitted using HTTPS. Bluetooth commands are exchanged locally between your device and compatible bulbs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices

You may:

  • deny or revoke location permission in your device settings;
  • deny or revoke Bluetooth and nearby-device permissions;
  • use manual lighting controls without enabling local weather;
  • reset locally stored bulb setup information in the App;
  • uninstall the App to remove its locally stored data; and
  • contact us to ask questions or request access, correction, or deletion of support information, subject to applicable law.

7. Children's privacy

The App is intended for adults who install or operate compatible automotive lighting products. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. International data transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our service providers, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date.
